Workplace Skin Checks
Outdoor workers face some of the highest UV exposure of any workforce. Work Plus Health delivers skin checks in clinic or onsite by our doctors and nurses to keep workers sun safe, with annual screening programs built for industries exposed to the sun. Every check is a chance to catch skin changes early, before they become something more serious.
What we offer
- Doctor-led skin cancer screening
- Nurse-led skin checks for high-volume programs
- Onsite and mobile delivery to your workplace
- Annual check programs for sun-exposed teams
- Full-body and targeted lesion assessment
- Dermoscopy where required
- Clear records and reporting for your WHS team
Nurse-led and doctor-led options
We offer two pathways so you can scale skin checks across your workforce. Nurse-led checks are ideal for high-volume annual screening, quickly identifying spots that need closer review. Doctor-led checks provide full assessment and dermoscopy on the day. Many employers combine the two, running nurse-led programs across sites with doctor-led sessions for higher-risk roles.
Built for sun-exposed industries
Construction, mining, agriculture, oil and gas, local government, utilities and tradespeople all carry elevated skin cancer risk from years of sun exposure. Annual skin checks are a simple, effective way to meet your duty of care, support sun-safe behaviour and protect the long-term health of your team.
Follow-up procedures
Where a check identifies a lesion that needs further investigation or removal, we have specialist skin sites across our network for any recommended follow-up procedures. Follow-up treatment is optional and billed privately under Medicare, separate from the workplace screening program. We coordinate the referral so workers move seamlessly from screening to specialist care.
