Onsite and Mobile Medicals: How Medicals2U Works

When sending workers to a clinic is the bottleneck, onsite and mobile medicals bring the assessment to your site, here is how it works and when to use it.

The problem with clinic-only testing

When you are onboarding a crew, running a site health surveillance program or testing a remote workforce, sending every worker to a clinic creates friction. Workers lose half a day, productivity drops, and testing drags out over weeks. For shift-based and regional operations, it can be the single biggest bottleneck in the whole process.

That is where onsite and mobile medicals come in.

What is Medicals2U?

Medicals2U is Work Plus Health's onsite and mobile medical service. Rather than your workers travelling to us, our clinicians and equipment travel to you, to your site, your depot, your office or even a worker's home. The same standards, the same reporting, the same fitness-for-work outcomes, delivered where it suits your operation.

What can be done onsite?

A surprisingly wide range of occupational health services can be delivered mobile:

  • Pre-employment medicals for individual intakes or full crew mobilisations.
  • Health surveillance, audiometry, spirometry, skin checks and biological monitoring.
  • Drug and alcohol testing, urine, oral fluid and breath alcohol.
  • Return-to-work assessments and suitable-duties reviews.

A typical setup brings a clinician, portable audiometry booth, spirometer, drug testing equipment and the necessary consumables, with results uploaded the same day.

When onsite makes sense

Onsite and mobile medicals are most valuable when:

  • You are mobilising a crew and need everyone cleared to the same standard, fast.
  • Your workforce is remote or regional, where clinic access is limited.
  • You run shift operations where workers cannot easily attend during business hours.
  • You need periodic surveillance across a large workforce without stopping production.
  • A worker is injured or off work and an in-home assessment supports their recovery.

The same standard, delivered differently

The key principle is that onsite does not mean lower quality. The assessments, the standards and the reporting are identical to an in-clinic visit, only the location changes. Work Plus Health uses calibrated mobile equipment, qualified clinicians and the same fitness-for-work framework, so a clearance completed in your depot means the same as one completed in one of our 37 WA clinics.

Bringing it together

For businesses hiring at scale, managing remote teams or running ongoing surveillance, Medicals2U removes the logjam. Combine it with our in-clinic and national affiliate network and you have one provider, one standard, one reporting line, wherever your people are.
